Chapter III. Creating Hierarchical Reports

There are a number of different ways to present hierarchical data in Logi Report. The following are only some of the possibilities:

1. A single report composed of a summary table with detail sub-tables. The sub-tables can be always visible, or visible through a drill-down action.

2. Two tightly-coupled reports with a summary report with detailed sub-reports. The sub-reports can be always visible, or visible through a drill-down action.

3. Two loosely-coupled reports with a summary report providing links to detailed reports.

In this chapter, we’ll take a look at all three approaches.
